Specialised Sterile Environments (SSE), located in Mervue Business Park, Galway was set up in December 2003 by Mary Connell, Managing Director and obtained ISO 9001 approval in Jan 2004. Dominick Jordan joined the team as Industrial Manager since the company inauguration.
SSE set up their webpage in 2005 and extended their services nationwide in 2006 reaching Dublin, Limerick, and Westmeath.
In Feb 2007 Dr. Kevina O’Donoghue joined the SSE team and developed a Cleanroom Technology Training Programme – Contamination Control Practices within the Cleanroom’. This was approved by FAS in the Western region and placed on the FAS/EI National Register of Trainers. In Oct 2009 this training programme received accreditation from the International Cleanroom Educational Board (ICEB).
In June 2009 SSE set up a Cleanroom Technology Network Group in conjunction with our training partners SQT. The idea behind the network is to create an informal forum where people working within cleanroom environments from the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Electronic industries as well as Hospital personnel, can come together to discuss topics and areas of similar interest, share experiences and generally learn from each other to create a support network that will benefit all, in these challenging times. This group is facilitated by Dr. Kevina O’Donoghue, SSE.
In 2009, Sean McGlynn joined the SSE team as Sales Executive and is working on extending the SSE client portfolio and improving customer services.
